Milwaukee Bucks – Los Angeles Lakers Off-Season News Growing

According to Dalton Sell of FanSided:

The Bucks need younger players, athleticism, and more depth at the center position. One way to address all three needs is by signing Jaxson Hayes of the Los Angeles Lakers. If Hayes chooses not to take his player option worth $2.3 million, Milwaukee could be a good fit for him.

Los Angeles Lakers

Hayes is a tall and athletic player who can make exciting plays with dunks and blocks. He plays a different style compared to Brook Lopez and Bobby Portis by moving quickly and catching passes near the basket. Having a young and active big man like Hayes could bring a new element to the team.

One concern is that Hayes is not a good shooter from long distance. In his five-year career, he has only had one season where he attempted more than 30 three-pointers. This might make it hard for him to fit in lineups with Giannis Antetokounmpo. However, the team could work with him to improve his shooting, similar to how Brook Lopez developed his long-range shot.

Los Angeles Lakers: Milwaukee needs to add depth at the center position this off-season

Milwaukee needs to add depth at the center position this off-season. Pursuing Hayes could make sense, especially if they trade their draft picks and cannot draft a new player. If they can sign him for a low cost, it would be a good move to strengthen their frontcourt.

Los Angeles Lakers

There is a good chance the Bucks might draft or sign another big man in free agency to support Lopez and Portis. Although Hayes might not be their top choice, he could still be a valuable addition.

One thing is clear: Lopez is getting older, and he will be 37 by the end of next year. The Bucks need to start planning for the future at the center position sooner rather than later.
